It's the Latest USB Standard: USB 3.2!
USB-IF, the party behind the development of USB standards, has officially announced the latest standard, USB 3.2. Previously, several months ago, related USB 3.2 has already appeared. Now, the official information from displaying USB specification 3.2 is complete!
As the information appears earlier, USB 3.2 can send data data with the density up to 20 Gbps with 2 channels of 10 Gbps each. USB 3.2 does have many paths, or multiple lane, to get a higher total bandwidth. This will be its own advantages USB 3.2 when compared to USB 3.1. \
Physically, the interface used USB 3.2 is still the same as USB 3.1. Interestingly, the so-called user can still use a standard cable with a USB type C connector. However, whether USB 3.2 will deliver 2 x 5 Gbps or 2 x 10 Gbps will depend on the use of USB cable 3.1 Gen 1 (5 Gbps) or USB 3.1 Gen 2 (10 Gbps).
Until the end of 2017, the USB 3.2 standard will continue to be sprayed, related to the controller chip and some hardware that supports it. While the implementation of use on Intel or AMD motherboards will begin in 2019. Desktop users will certainly soon taste this USB 3.2 technology in the form of add-on PCIe module.
With that speed, the USB 3.2 standard will be more competitive when faced with the Thunderbolt interface, even though the Thunderbolt 3 standard has now reached 40 Gbps.
