SIM Card Threatened Blocked If Not Registered Use KTP and KK

To improve the protection of telecommunication services customers' rights, the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (Kemkominfo) will apply a valid customer registration number with the Master Identity Number (NIK) listed on ID and KK from 31 October. If the phone user does not register, the SIM card number is threatened and the user will not be able to make calls or receive calls, SMS, and even surf the Internet. Director General of Post and Informatics (PPI) Kemkominfo, Ahmad M. Ramli, said customers who do not re-register before February 28, 2018 (the deadline for registration of SIM card number with NIK), they will experience service restrictions until the gradual blocking. "Without doing so (the registration), the customer will be affected by the following: First receive blocking outgoing call and SMS within the first 30 days Then blocking incoming call, SMS and Internet in the next 15 days And blocking Internet service 15 days later, "Ahmad said at a press conference at the Kemkominfo building in Jakarta, Wednesday (11/10). To register, users can send SMS to 4444 with NIK #K # and it will be successful if the data entered has been validated. This rule applies to prospective customers and old cellular subscribers who must perform data validation based on NIK and Family Card (KK) numbers recorded in the DGP database. Ahmad added that customers do not have to worry if in the process of registering themselves through SMS 4444 experience obstacles. Customers can still register at each operator's outlet. "More secure registration can be done in outlets All operators have a booth If the ID card is not yet or anything, it can come to the booth, the registration is done there," Ahmad added. With the registration of SIM cards to be validated, Kemkominfo seeks to prevent misuse of subscriber numbers, especially prepaid subscribers and also for the interest of national single identity that is proclaimed. In the registration process, Kemkominfo coordinates with the Indonesian Telecommunication Regulatory Body (BRTI), the Directorate General of Population and Civil Registration (Dukcapil), and telecommunication service providers. The data that has been verified by the telecommunication operator, will then be validated to the DGP database. After that, the new SIM card number is activated. This news is from line today
